I first heard of Part in the aircraft side of their photo etch business from my 1/72nd scale WWI aircraft builder buddies. They talked about the quality, comprehensive nature, value and thinness of product. Now that more and more of Part's new releases are coming out in "my scale of choice" I'm also starting to appreciate their quality. Eduard really has someone breathing down their backs with Part's quality. We modelers are the real winners.
This set is specifically intended for the new Tamiya series of Me-262s, this one addresses the bomber variant. In addition to a full set of cockpit detail, the set has engine and bomb detail too.
These sets really have to be seen to be appreciated. Study the scans carefully, as the level of detail is exceptional. For example, the fan blades are each etched individually except at the hub. I've never seen that done that way before. I suppose if the builder wanted to, he could twist each blade to set a differential angle of attack of the blades. Quite remarkable.
As a bonus of sorts, the set also comes with some small bits to spruce up the Tamiya Kettenkraft.
