Car is built as raced
by Bruce McLaren and Mark Donohue in the 1967 24 hrs. of LeMans. Car finished
4th over all.

Frame is from unidentified
GT-40 MkII. Three upper body parts are rescued from vender junk box along
with tube glued front windshield.

All parts were stripped
of bad paint jobs, poor decals and excessive tube glue then sanded, filled
and painted.

Front windshield was
sanded then polished and treated with Future floor polish.

Side windows and rear
window is sheet styrene.

Headlight covers are
builders own vac-u-form.

Correct wheels were
found in parts box, tires are builders own resin castings.

Interior bulkheads are
sheet styrene, as is engine shrouding.

Carburetors are from
Monogram Cobra as is carbtub.

Spare tire from parts
box, suitcase container (LeMans required) sheet styrene.

Headlights are MV products.
-
Signal lights are valve
cover breathers painted clear orange on front.
-
Rear signal and brake
lights are rhinestones from craft store.
-
Windshield wiper is
from Detail Master as are photo-etched knock-offs on wheels.

Decals are from Fred
Cady.

Duct tape on rear deck
are two shades of silver decal.
