This is the first modern
Oscar kit Hasgawa released last year. I finished the kit on October 1st of
last year, and was working on it the morning of Sept. 11th. It is in 1/48th
scale, the Nakajima Ki 43-I Hayabusa (Oscar) , in the kit supplied markings
of the 64th Regiment, flown by Maj. Tateo Kato in the spring of 1942 in Burma.
The fuselage was very warped in my example, so I added a bunch of (typical)
chipped paint and severe weathering to give the eye something else to look
at rather than the tipping rear fuselage.
