This is MPM's 1/48 Focke Wulf Fw58. It's a really nice little kit, but I couldn't get the struts cleaned up or fitting right, so I replaced them all using a jig and a lot of swearing. Rather than pre-shade I tried something different by varying the panels in tone. I know this was an experimental plane and was never used in service but I figured any aircraft that's folded up and stored inside a submarine would get its fair share of chipping and weathering, not to mention the effects of salt water on the airframe. For the first time I also used Eduard's pre-painted seat harnesses. I'm never
painting another harness again :-)
